Tuesday, February 11, 2020 – Dr. Richard Grazi joined members of RESOLVE and the Modern Families Coalition in Albany to meet with lawmakers and ask them to pass the Child-Parent Security Act and remove the ban on compensated gestational surrogacy.
Millions of New Yorkers need assistance building their families: Women struggling with infertility, cancer survivors impacted by treatment, members of the LGBTQ+ community. For many, surrogacy is a critically important option. For others, it is the only option.
But, New York is still one of only three states in the country than bans compensated gestational surrogacy.
This is a bad policy, cutting across every community in our state regardless of race, socioeconomic status, sexual orientation, or health status. It’s time to change that!
