NIAW 2026 – While infertility is a very common problem, it doesn’t always the get attention it should. So in 1989 RESOLVE created National Infertility Awareness Week® (NIAW) to put infertility in the spotlight. Each year during NIAW, Reddit’s  r/infertility hosts a series of AMA’s (Ask Me Anything) with experts working in infertility. The subreddit describes itself as “a fantastic community that exists for shitty reasons. . . This is the place to be when it feels like everyone is easily pregnant, except you.”

Fertility specialists getting together informally with people struggling to get pregnant – during NIAW – on the Reddit platform is a perfect partnership. In 2026 Dr. Tendai Chiware returned for a third consecutive year, alongside Dr. Alex Kotlyar, who was also invited to participate.
