Genesis offers the option to do a “shared” egg donor cycle which can reduce the cost of the cycle up to 50%. In this popular option, two couples are matched to one egg donor. The recipient couples share the eggs from the egg donor cycle. This allows for each couple to only be responsible for paying half of the costs of a typical donor egg cycle.
The pregnancy rates for patients who have selected this program are similar to the pregnancy rates of traditional egg donation cycles. In a shared cycle the egg donor should produce at least 12 eggs. With 6 or more eggs per cycle each couple will have a good chance of achieving pregnancy. We are happy to offer this treatment option that achieves excellent pregnancy rates at an affordable cost.
